PolyForm engages personalized architecture through design science at the center of human ecology. By bridging the nano scale to the human scale through advancements in digital fabrication and emerging materials, this project promotes communication and active exchange across disciplines. PolyForm is a permanent public installation of four perforated, crystalline metal forms framing a high trafficked thoroughfare on the Cornell University Campus. The project integrates environment and community through advancements in computational design and contemporary digital fabrication techniques to generate a responsive and ornamented architectural intervention that envelopes and activates daily routines and exchanges at CHE and beyond in the broader Cornell campus.
